Step into a life of miracles

Writer: Jennifer RixJennifer Rix

It’s a miracle!

What comes to mind when you hear the word miracle?

The birth of a new baby?

A miraculous healing from an incurable disease?

A near death experience?

We tend to label things as “miracles” that are EXTRA ordinary in nature.

An amazing or wonderful occurrence.

Things that feel there was Divine intervention involved…in other words…an act of God.

I wonder though, if we could also consider more mundane every day occurrences as miracles as well. After all, we are all sparks of the divine having a human experience and as such EVERY moment is an extra ordinary act of God.

I am in awe every time a butterfly floats across my path.

I find it amazing the timing involved that allows me to witness such a beautiful creature. Butterflies fill me with admiration of the strength and perseverance it takes to endure the cycles of transformation that we all go through. Not to mention the absolute beauty of the end results!

And it may seem silly, given the enormous amount of people all around us everywhere we go…but of the over 7 billion people on this planet…how many do we really know?

I mean, what are the odds of meeting that someone special?

You know the one…the one we all dream about.

The one that gets us. That makes us feel seen, heard, and safe.

The one we feel comfortable being our true selves with….that one.

The odds are staggering really…what 1 in over 7 billion?!?

Yet, it happens every day all over the world!

It’s nothing short of miraculous.

It can be so easy to focus on what’s missing from our lives…that new house, new partner, new car, new body, that much longed for baby.

But at one time, everything we already have, was once a hope, a dream, a wish, a desire. Remember how excited we were when we received the miracle of those dreams coming true?

For those who have eyes to see….life is nothing but miraculous.

It takes awareness to witness the miracles all around us.

We have to slow down.

Become present.

Live in the moment.

Be right here, right now.

Breathe in my lungs…..a miracle.

Bringing this message from my heart to yours through this incredible technology…a miracle.

The ability to connect across time and space via the world wide web….a miracle.

It’s all so amazing!

Life is wondrous…..and full of mundane every day miracles.

Walking….is a miracle. And so many of us, including myself, take it for granted.

This could be said of anything…..the ability to see, hear, smell, taste, to feel…the list is endless.

To feel is miraculous!

Without these amazing bodies we would never experience the miracle of hugging our loved ones, or kissing our beloved, or holding hands.

Touch is profoundly healing and an extra ordinary experience we easily consider mundane.

We tend to categorize feelings as good or bad…and usually only desire the feel good feelings. But whether it’s sadness or love, grief or gratitude…to be able to feel is truly a miracle.

Even things we judge as an inconvenience can be seen as miraculous with eyes to see.

Most of us are not very good at waiting and delays can really test our resolve….but what if these are miracles in disguise?

Maybe that long line causes us to strike up a conversation with a stranger who ends up being an answer to our prayers.

What if that delay in traffic was Divine Intervention preventing us from being in a serious accident?

What if the sting of rejection was for our own protection?

I believe everything happens for us…that nothing is an accident.

That nothing happens outside the control of the creator of the Universe.

It’s our own human selves that want to label and judge things as good/bad, right/wrong, dark/light when in truth, everything exists from the One source.

There’s a rhyme and reason for things that happen….or don’t happen.

And just because we may not personally know this reason, doesn't mean it’s not so.

Have you heard of the word pronoia?

It's the belief that the world conspires in your favor.

That everything is always working out for you.

The opposite belief is called paranoia, which is the belief that the world is conspiring against you and that everything is happening to you.

I used to live and believe in paranoia, but with lots of unlearning, I discovered my own truth, which is pronoia. I know that I am loved and supported by a benevolent Universe…always.

Ultimately, we get to choose our beliefs, which in turn creates the world around us.

I choose to see miracles all around me, everywhere I go, and in everyone I meet

What about you?

What was the last miracle you experienced?

I would LOVE to know in the comments!

Until next time, be gentle with yourself and remember, you are so much more than you have allowed yourself to believe!
